Types of file transmissions accepted:
FTP Upload
Files can be uploaded to the FTP site using a FTP client like Fetch (for Mac) or SmartFTP (for Windows). Use the following information to connect to the site:
Host: roadrunnerprinting.com
Directory: /incoming/
PLEASE NOTE: You can leave the User ID and Password fields empty. They are not necessary to connect and upload files to the FTP site. Once your files have been successly uploaded, please contact us at 602.978.9010 and let us know that your files are awaiting retrieval.
E-mail
Files can be transmitted electronically via e-mail to rrprint@aol.com. Please compress the file(s) prior to sending using either “Stuffit” or “Zip”. Include a note in your e-mail stating the platform, file type and version. We can receive up to 4 megabytes file transfer.
Disks & CD’s
We can accept files on 3 1/2” disks (Mac & PC formatted). Zip and CD disks for large or multiple files.
Types of file formats accepted:
• Adobe PageMaker 6.5
• Adobe Photoshop 5,6,7
• Freehand 7.0
• Adobe Illustrator 8.0
• Quark Express 6.0
• Microsoft Word*
• Microsoft Publisher 2000 or higher*
• Adobe PDF (see below)
PDF Files
PDF is used for both receiving files and as a method of digital proofing. PDF’s are locked files, we cannot make alterations to them you must color separated and generate cropmarks before distilling your files. Make sure your file is saved as CMYK not RGB for full color work or there will be an additional charge. Make sure you embed all the fonts to eliminate any font incompatibility issues. If you set up job for a bleed you will need to have a 1/8th of an inch border for all sides that bleed.
